SUMMARY: Construction work is estimated to last 8 months and be operational 4 months after construction. The radio-television unit will occupy a surface area of 2200m2 and will have technical rooms and be used for archives. Staff strength will be about 70 among which 18 journalists will travel frequently for overseas missions. The principal antenna would be installed next to the building, and will be diffused within a radius of 15 km, or more serving the whole city. The television station will have four channels, and one of them will be for "educational pseudo-interactivity programs." The available four radio stations will equally diffuse or broadcast both local and international news. One of the stations will broadcast in local languages. The television / radio directorate will develop solid relationship with foreign television/radio stations to receive and send useful information.
